Our Story
Pizzaiolo was born from a simple dream: to bring the authentic taste of Italian pizza to Canadian families. Founded in 2008 by Antonio Rossi, a third-generation pizza maker from Naples, our journey began with a single location in Toronto's Little Italy neighborhood.
Antonio's grandfather had owned a beloved pizzeria in Naples, where the family recipes were perfected over decades. When Antonio moved to Canada, he brought those treasured recipes with him, along with a commitment to using only the finest ingredients and traditional preparation methods.
What started as a small, family-owned pizzeria quickly gained a reputation for exceptional quality and authentic flavor. Word spread about our hand-stretched dough, San Marzano tomato sauce, and perfectly balanced toppings. As demand grew, so did we.
Today, Pizzaiolo has expanded to over 30 locations across Canada, but we remain true to our roots. Each pizza is still crafted with the same care, attention to detail, and respect for Italian culinary traditions that Antonio's grandfather instilled in his family decades ago.

The Beginning
Pizzaiolo opens its first location in Toronto's Little Italy, quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite.
